Day out in the Lakes today....... earlyish start hoping to avoid the hot weather in bike clober....

Heading over the firing ranges to Reeth:

Rode past Tan Hill Pub...... must have had a party there last night !

Rode over Borrowdale and up Honnister pass..... View from the cafe carpark:

Half way down the other side - Looking up:

And Down:

Rode through Buttermere..... then did a loop anticlockwise along some shitty goat tracks and droping back down to Buttermere :

Heading up Newlands Pass:

Stopped for a Sarnie Break...... not a bad view:

Droping down the other side of Newlands:

Roundabout way home after that......... Ullswater / Kirkstone Pass / The Struggle / Windermere (fooking loads of people and traffic) / Devils Bridge and home.....

Bout 260 miles all in....... warm day for it !!

Met a mate I used to work with today for a blast round North Devon.  He grew up there so knows all the good roads, and there are shitloads.  Lovely part of the world.  He was on his Zephyr 1100 which he has had for years but recently had customised by RedMax Speed Shop down near Exeter. I’d seen pictures and thought it was ok, but it’s much better in the flesh, and gets a lot of attention. Goes ok too, we weren’t hanging about round the Devon twisties.

After my mate had to peel off to get home I carried on over Exmoor. About 20 mins after I took this pic the sky blackened and as I hit Taunton it pissed down, though still about 26degC. Bloody British weather.

Went to this place in Crediton for tea and cake. Bit hipster but good food and drink, reasonable prices, and a workshop Attached with a load of Harley chops in various states of build, some actually quite nice.
