Nice ride out to Whitby for breakfast - dodging the floods !

had to crawl home tho as a mates rear tyre "disintgrated"  - it was almost on the wear markers when we set off but down to canvas when we got to whitby.... never seen one go off so quickly as that.

just ordered the third replacement rear indicator lens in as many weeks.
Origional one went missing. although retaining screw was in place had shattered around it. Ordered a replacement and fitted. Same story assumed I'd overtightened so ordered replacement. Made sure I didn't overtighten it & use loctite on screw thread. Went out on Sunday same again missing after 10 miles.

Anybody got any clues????  Think next tme I'll silicone to bond to the reflector unit.

Not sure, don't think so, sure I's sense it. Just removed the nearside to check out hoe it's configured & there's nothing differant, ie the lens simply utilises a retaining lug then screwed into the recess. I'm confused. at £11.50 a shop ot's getting a bit costly.   what5  .................

What did I do with my bike?  Fuck all.

T has been in the dealers two weeks yesterday.  Called today for an update - cam sensor is on back order, next delivery from Aprilia / Piagio is the end of next week, and it *may* be in that order.....

So 3.5 weeks wait minimum, quite possibly more.  FFS   bash18 bash18 bash18 bash18 bash18

Only thing preventing me spitting the dummy bigstyle is the fact that the weather is shite and that I'm picking the Triumph up on Monday.

I cleaned my chain of all the nasty oil making my gold chain look black. Bought some Mucoff dry lube instead and am going to give that a go (due to the issue of keeping the white wheels clean from oil splatter).

Read up the pro's and cons of wet lube against dry lube and one of the big things was dry lube doesn't retain as much grit as wet lube does and keeps the chain in better nick rust wise than the wet lube (I thought it'd be the opposite).

Even when I was cleaning the chain could hear the grit rubbing against the sprocket and chain so we'll see how this dry lube goes for a while.
Hopefully means after each ride I don't have to spend an hour cleaning the rear wheel from oil splatter. If just for that reason it'd be worth it for me as I don't do colossal miles per year so my chains gonna last a fair few years anyway angel2

Fabulous weather here today so went out for a ride.Back roads were deserted, apart from a handful of builders vans. big grin Stopped at Fotheringhay for a quick piccy then burnt off for another blast.Pit stop on the A45 near Higham Ferrars for fuel and an overpriced bottle of water.Saw a few bikes heading Silverstone way, some loaded up with tents etc.Hope the weather holds for them.

That really sucks Gilo mate.

Mines let me down twice, but at least it was fixed within 48 hours both times.

They don't make it easy to stay in love with these bikes sometimes
