Thanks for the info Robbie - not boring to me as I have the same issues. happy88

The guys at Revs were dead against lowering the bike - they reckoned it would mess up the handling and felt the bike had limited ground clearance anyway
Once lowered at the rear you cannot lower the front very much as the front mudguard will hit the rad roll004

Adjusting the static sag was best for me - looking for a cheap second hand seat so I can have it customised

Need to get the side stand altered once I can find someone who can weld aluminium  what5

Shame I cant just add 25mm to the length of my legs  laughing1

Found a small place local to me today - shortened the stand by 13 mm for me, charged me £10 happy88

Just re-painted and fitted it back on  happy88

Only problem now is I can't get the spring back on - there must be a knack - or I'm just too weak  exc1

I've used one of those hook type things with a handle for pulling tent pegs out before so you can get enough grip to pull the spring back.

I have a "spring" puller - basically what you described

Just can't quite stretch the spring enough - about 1 or 2 mm short

V when I replaced the stand on my T it was much the same.

I stared at it for a couple of minutes and muttered yer no beatin me ya fuckker.

Don't know if that made a difference or not but with the stand loose I hooked the spring on it's mounting pins and then used the stand as a lever to maneuver it until the bolt holes lined up.

It was surprisingly easy to do.   happy119

Hope yer orange is the same.   happy88
