At ease men, it literally just says Monscau and the ride is up from Calais. They slate the Ring as overpriced and dangerous, but a must do all the same.

I was up Newcastle way today and the ferry port is off the A19 on the Nesbit side of Geordieland. Looks easy enough to find. About 160 miles for me so I need a little route planned. Ain't going up the m/way  sad33 Probably go through the Trough, though Hawes, Sedburgh, Kirky Steven, Brough, and overt moors to Hexham and Morpeth on some of the best roads on earth  happy119 That'll be about 260 miles BUT proper miles   exc1 exc1 exc1 exc1 exc1 exc1 exc1

If you are coming over hartside Nob i could  meet ya and ride down to hexham with you.

I'll probably have to go straight to bed after that lot  urgh1

I had a wee look at getting to Monschau on goggle earth. Oot of the port is no problem but we need to decide if we're going route one are we going the non Auto route. I suggest we get on the A9 and then the A2, it'll give us a chance to adjust to riding on the wrong side of the road (Nob excluded). Once we've done a few miles, filled up wae fuel and sobered up a  bit a dare say we could look fir roads a bit more stimulating.

Give us yer thoughts FudFesters.  eat4
