What's the A75 / A77 to Ayr like?

V, the A75 from Dumfries to Stranraer is a fast A class road with loads of traffic and the occasional speed camera.

The A77 has average speed cameras from Stranraer to Ayr and most of them are rear facing.

You could take the 75 to Newton Stewart then cut through the Galloway forest to Straiton and onto Minishant which is spitting distance from Ayr.

They are a few options of some belting roads from Dumfries to Ayr.
The Daveen pass then onto Wanlockhead and up the A76 towards Killmarnock then ctting off to Ayr.
