Could be up for this V.   happy119

Usually the weather can be brill at the end of May.

V, have you ever been to Applecross.   scratching1

Where are you thinking of doing yer first night stop.

BTW you'll do that trip in a day no probs, even stopping for plenty of sightseeing and pics,,,,,,,,,,I don't think you'll need to go through one set of traffic lights once yer out Inverness.

By the time you factor in b&b, meals, fuel etc...Scotland is a bit more expensive than Spain.

Oh aye that right...whit aboot the mental ferry cost jist gettin tae Espania...nae exactly cheap nor is the beer swilled an grub on board either! Nae tae mention the lost days in transit.

The hotels cost are no much different either.

Please to see there is some interest especially as local knowledge is unbeatable - great to hear that the route can be done in a day this means Fort William can be a base for one or two nights

As you can see I am looking to do this in a fairly short period i.e. 4 days I am going to take the fastest route which includes motorways on the first day so I can get as far north as sensible on day 1.  Aiming for Oban this makes the northern loop doable

This means you guys further south would need to consider making a start a day earlier possibly?
