Tiz light but KTM is a tad better...

790 duke is 105 HP @ 189kg

890 duke R is 121HP @ 186kg

790 no longer listed for 2021 so mite even sell them off for less that an the current £6999.

890 is just over 10k but then they sting you for an extra £600 for a quick shifter ...  what5

Heart would be drawn to the Ape .... on paper the Dukes are worth a ride ....

Yep....agreed, but the final decider is the torques....dunno which one is better tbh...but I recon there won't be much in it.
Styling wise, the Ape wins hands down. It's a pretty looking thing and a great alternative to the likes of the StreetTrip.

I like it, but it’s £3k more than my 790 Duke with less power and torque. My 790 has made me rethink what I want from a bike. I love big horsepower, always have, always will, and for distance / touring work my SDGT is unbeatable, it is by far the best bike in every way (except looks) I’ve had in nearly 40 years of riding. But that 790 puts a big shit-eating grin on my face every time I ride it. Light and thrashable, having a bike that handles like a pushbike and can be redlined constantly without doing prison speeds is just fucking awesome, and reminds me what it’s all about.

I’ve finally reached the stage in life where I have two bikes that pretty much cover every itch I want to scratch.  No doubt I’ll get sucked into summat newer and shinier sooner or later, but if I could resist the lure of new toys what I have in the garage right now feels like as good as it gets.

I like it:)

I've never really gelled with the V4. Not fully sure why though. Big power, and lower bars than the V2 might be the reason. Mony a yap with Rico about it as well.
